Rice-flour okonomiyaki, fresh from the teppan
Our okonomiyaki is made with rice flour and plenty of grated nagaimo yam. A 20 mm iron griddle and careful heat control give it a crisp outside and a soft centre. We also use fresh rice-flour noodles for our yakisoba.
Prices are in Japanese yen. Menu information checked on 19 October 2026. Dishes, ingredients and prices may change. Please confirm current details when ordering.

Yubasho × Ikkakuju
A Kyoto yuba collaboration
Our “white okonomiyaki”, created with Kyoto yuba maker Yubasho, has been featured on television and in other media.
Yubasho’s history
Yubasho was founded in Kujo, southern Kyoto, in 1885 and has supplied Kyo-yuba to Kyoto’s well-known restaurants for more than 130 years. Yuba is made from soy milk and has long been used in shojin ryori, the cuisine of Buddhist temples, and kaiseki dining. The history presented in our Japanese menu traces its place in temple cuisine to the Kamakura period, when it was considered a luxury ingredient reserved for the court and temples.

Kyo-yuba okonomiyaki
¥2,300
Made with Kyoto yuba and soy milk from Yubasho. This collaboration combines Kyo-yuba with our gluten-free okonomiyaki.
Yuba is a soy-based food containing plant protein and soy isoflavones. We make the sauce with soy milk and vegetable broth. The vegetables change with the seasons, bringing a different character to the sauce throughout the year.
Okonomiyaki · Gluten-free ingredients

“From now on, I’ll choose rice-flour okonomiyaki!”
We make our okonomiyaki with rice flour instead of wheat flour. We developed the recipe with people who avoid wheat in mind, while giving just as much care to the flavour. Plenty of grated nagaimo yam creates a crisp outside and a soft, creamy centre.
If you have a food allergy or need to avoid gluten, please speak to our staff about ingredients and preparation before ordering.

Our cooks prepare more than 3,000 dishes a month
Our teppan cooks adjust their mixing, heat and cooking time to the cabbage’s changing moisture content and the texture of the batter. A 20 mm iron griddle keeps the temperature steady as each okonomiyaki cooks slowly to a crisp outside and a soft centre.
